Short in length with maximum rail drive due to the straighter lines at the tail. This combo gives a beautiful smoothness off the bottom with a high speed crack off the top due to the super low swing weight from having next to nose weight. Like the CD, this design makes you feel like you are walking on water in that the nose is almost hidden from your view when you surf. Add this effect to the broad sweet spot that comes from super blended curves and you have a package that suits a really broad range of surf. It has a simple single to double concave that comes out thru the tail to accentuate the feeling of the swallow and the smooth tail planshape, giving grip off the tail.

hey greg,
i have a 2008 model spoon of yours, still going strong and still lovin it. it measures 6’2 x 20 x 2 3/4. What is the litre volume of this board? what model would you recommend for more versatility in bigger waves with a similar feel. cheers pete
same as my board man
Hi Pete
The Litre Volume of that board is 36.25L. Ive just designed a new Spoon with a smooth tail rocker and planshape which will give drive and hold in bigger waves. You’ll be looking at 2 to 6 foot wave range on this new one.
Thanks Greg,
2 two 6 sounds great as I find the 2008 model gets a bit giddy in the bigger stuff. When a board is this Much fun it’s hard to put it down. Keep them coming. cheers Pete
